General Roles
The Packing and Moving Technical Trainer plays a crucial role in training and developing employees in the field of packing, handling, staffing and moving services. They are responsible for imparting technical knowledge and skills required for efficient and safe packing, loading, unloading, staffing and transportation of goods. The trainer will work closely with the logistics and operation team to ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary expertise to handle various types of items and provide excellent customer service during the moving process.
Develop training programs: Design and develop comprehensive training programs that cover various aspects of packing, moving, and transportation, including best practices, safety guidelines, equipment usage, and customer service.
Conduct training sessions: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to employees, both new hires and existing staff, to educate them about packing and moving techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Provide hands-on training: Demonstrate packing and moving techniques, use of equipment, and proper handling of fragile items by conducting practical sessions and simulations.
Develop training materials: Create training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and job aids, to support the training programs and ensure consistent delivery of information.
Assess training needs: Identify knowledge and skill gaps among employees through assessments, evaluations, and feedback, and develop tailored training plans to address those gaps.
Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the packing and moving industry, and incorporate relevant updates into training programs.
Monitor training effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by conducting assessments, collecting feedback from trainees, and analyzing performance metrics to measure the impact of training on employee performance.
Provide ongoing support: Offer continuous support and guidance to employees, addressing their queries, clarifying doubts, and providing additional coaching as needed.
Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with operations managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to identify training needs, align training programs with operational requirements, and ensure consistency in service quality.

Level III or high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. However, higher education in logistics, operations management, or a related field can be advantageous.
Industry Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge and experience in the packing and moving industry are essential. This can be acquired through on-the-job experience, working in operational roles, or by completing specialized courses or certifications in packing, moving, logistics, or supply chain management.
Experience: -
Four and above years of Experience in packing and moving Previous experience in the packing and moving industry, preferably in a supervisory or training role, is essential to understand the operational aspects and challenges involved.
Communication and Presentation Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for delivering clear instructions and explanations during training sessions. Trainers should be able to engage and motivate trainees through effective presentations and interactive activities.
Technical expertise:
In-depth knowledge of packing techniques, materials, equipment, and transportation
Training and instructional skills:
Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills are necessary to deliver engaging training sessions and effectively transfer knowledge to trainees.
Organizational skills:
The ability to manage training programs, materials, and schedules is vital to ensure training is conducted efficiently and meets the desired objectives.
Problem-solving abilities:
Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify training needs, analyze performance gaps, and develop appropriate solutions and training interventions.
Attention to detail:
Meticulousness in following safety guidelines, demonstrating correct techniques, and addressing potential risks is important to ensure the safety and security of employees and customer belongings.
Certification:
Possession of relevant certifications in packing, moving, or training and development is advantageous.
