JOB SUMMARY

The main purpose of the job is to oversee the Maintenance and Engineering Department of the Company both the existing and new sites, manage maintenance operations, ensure efficient machinery functioning, implement best practices in printing processes, monitor environmental impact, and develop engineering and maintenance talent for future succession in a printing operation.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Maintenance and Engineering operations in QuaLabels Manufacturer Plc

• Ensure efficient functioning of machinery and auxiliary systems

• Provide expertise in mechanical and electronic systems

• Implement best practices for gravure and offset printing, including offline processes

• Develop and implement training programs for employee skills enhancement in gravure and offset printing.

• Facilitate mentorship opportunities for career growth and development.

• Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the workforce.

• Establish a comprehensive maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns and optimize equipment performance.

• Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to identify and address potential issues proactively

• Monitor power consumption and implement energy-saving measures,

• Capture data for analysis and decision-making purposes.

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on maintenance activities, power consumption, and equipment performance.

• Liaise with machine manufacturers/suppliers for technical support and spare parts procurement

• Ensure food safety and ISO compliance in all operations

• Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential operational risks

• Monitor and report all aspects of the carbon footprint related to diesel consumption as required by global standards

• To implement/manage preventative maintenance

• To create a health and safety culture, and ensure that all activities within the department comply with statutory and company requirements

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in manufacturing areas.

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks for production machinery or facilities.

• Order parts and supplies required to maintain equipment.

• Document preventative and corrective maintenance work utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

• Recommend modifications to enhance equipment life or productivity.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Follow all safety and quality system requirements.

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
