Job Description

Reporting to: Finance and Administration director

 The company seeks an experienced and energetic individual who will lead the administration, logistics, and purchase functions of the company. Based in Addis Ababa and reporting to the Administration and Finance Director, she/he is accountable and responsible for the administration, logistics, and procurement functions of the company.

  • Job purpose: He/she ensures that supplies and services required to support operations are ethically and timely, adequately purchased, and stocked at a competitive price. As a coordinator of the procurement and logistics department, he/she shall/will oversee and coordinate procurement, property management, and fleet management. He/she will ensure administrative services are compliant with company policy and, ensure the operation of the company (farm production and factory manufacturing) is not interrupted.

Specific responsibilities: Administration

  • Planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes

  • Ensure farm, factory sites, and the office are stocked with necessary supplies and that all equipment is working and properly maintained.

  • Planning, scheduling, and promoting office events, including meetings, conferences, interviews, orientations, and training sessions.

  • Ensure all licenses are renewed on time and the company utilities, and rents are paid on time.

  • Manage company assets, equipment, vehicles, agricultural machinery, irrigation, and pumps

Logistics and Maintenance

  • To assist with office moves, reallocations, and general distribution of logistics

  • Ensure the company vehicles, machinery, tractors, generators, pumps, etc are managed safely, maintained, and repaired on time and ensure logistical support is provided efficiently and effectively for the movement and distribution of the company products

Procurement and Supply

  • To provide a professional procurement service; ensuring that procurement policies and operating procedures are followed in the purchasing of quality-assured commodities to target timescales at a competitive price.

  • Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective

  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors

  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms

Job Requirement

Educational background

  • BA Degree or Diploma in Logistics and Supply Management, Management or related field with a minimum of 7 years in administration, logistics, and procurement.

  • Proven experience in supply chain management and sourcing of raw materials

  • Experience in commercial farm and detergent factories.

  • Certificate in auto or experience in tractor and vehicle maintained has an advantage.
