  The Research and Development (R&D) Specialist is tasked with advancing the organization's technologies, procedures, and products. Through conducting experiments, research, and analysis, they directly contribute to the organization's competitive advantage and long-term success. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the R&D Specialist drives innovation, enhances existing products, and explores new opportunities. They stay up-to-date on scientific developments, competitive landscapes, and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making. Strong expertise in relevant scientific fields, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation are essential qualifications for this role.

  Responsibilities:

  · Research and integrate new technologies, materials, and methodologies relevant to the industry.

  · Collaborate across teams to innovate and enhance existing products.

  · Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and communicate actionable insights.

  · Stay updated on industry trends, scientific advancements, and competitors.

  · Manage intellectual property through patent filings to protect innovations.

  · Communicate progress and findings through reports and presentations.

  · Develop R&D strategies aligned with market demand and technology trends.

  · Generate and implement project schedules with the team.

  · Coordinate with sales and marketing to understand end-user needs.

  · Improve raw material quality standards and testing methods.

  · Enhance product formulas, production processes, and quality standards.

  · Guide QC and production departments to meet corporate standards.

  · Streamline departmental management for higher efficiency and value creation.

  · Assist senior leadership with assigned tasks.

Job Requirement

Other qualification

· Proficient in English, Amharic, and preferably in Oromic.

· BSc degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

· Preferably familiar with production processes for detergent products.

· Proficient in quality testing methods for raw materials and finished products.

Experience: 5+ years of proven work experience.
