We are seeking a qualified Field Operations Manager to lead a coffee improvement project based in Bahir Dar. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing field offices, coordinating field activities, and possess expertise in coffee agronomy, including climate adaptation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all field operations related to the coffee improvement project in Bahir Dar.

• Coordinate with field staff to ensure efficient implementation of project activities.

• Provide technical expertise in coffee agronomy, including climate adaptation strategies.

• Support and strengthen cooperatives and unions involved in coffee production.

• Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.

• Manage project resources effectively to ensure adherence to budget and timelines.

• Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and community leaders.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing field operations, preferably in the coffee sector.

• Strong knowledge of coffee production techniques, including climate-smart practices.

• Experience in supporting and strengthening cooperatives and unions.

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Fluency in English and Amharic; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.
