Job Summary:

The Receivable/ Collection Accountant is responsible for managing the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintaining accurate records of all receivable transactions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable ledger, including invoicing, recording payments, and reconciling accounts.

• Monitor and track outstanding receivables, ensuring timely collection of payments.

• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.

• Prepare and send out statements and reminder notices to customers.

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any billing issues or disputes.

• Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to remind them of payment deadlines and negotiate payment arrangements.

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to ensure accurate billing and customer satisfaction.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable.

• Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers.

• Maintain detailed records of collection activities and communications with customers.

• Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare regular reports on collection status and progress for management review.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal regulations.

• Support the finance team in the reconciliation of accounts receivable and preparation of financial statements.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Proven 2 years of experience as a Receivable Accountant/ Collection Accountant, or similar role.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and collection processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
