Cyber Security Engineering Officer is responsible for conducting periodic vulnerability assessment, remediation, patching, penetration testing, code review & embed security by involving on all IT projects. The role holder is also expected to assists periodic cyber security risk assessment and remediation. Making sure that vulnerability & risk issues are understood, communicated and tracked. Periodically review effectiveness of cyber security controls.

Academic & Professional Qualification

•  BA/BSC degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information System, Software Engineering.

•  Security Certifications such as CEH, CCNA (Cyber-Ops,) CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, Security +, Linux, CCNP, CEH,etc. is advantageous.

Experience

•  At least Four (4) years’ of relevant work experience. (experience in financial industry is advantageous)

Required Technical Competency 

•  Knowledge of networking, firewall, IPS/IDS, endpoint security (antivirus), cloud security.

•  Knowledge of server, clients, mobile operating systems and DBMS with demonstrated understanding of security designing of information systems in general.

•  Sound understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts, security alerts, and incidents.

•  Excellent writing and presentation skills are required in order to communicate findings, recommendations, and status of ongoing investigations.

•  Knowledge on OWASP top 10 application vulnerabilities, SANS 25 software vulnerabilities, CIS controls, and other hardening frameworks.

•  Knowledge on MITRE & ATT&CK and NIST frameworks 

•  Knowledge of tools used to secure and test security of information systems.

•  Strong cryptographic knowledge

•  Ability to lead, influence and drive change initiatives in support of business strategies within the department/unit.

•  Experience in all areas of the Software Development: including designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring and documenting software & Security by design principles.

•  Ability to test enterprise systems and software for vulnerabilities, formulating measures to address vulnerabilities, and preventing malware, file less attacks, phishing attempts and insider threat.
