Cyber security Incident Response Officer for Addis Ababa

Job Summary 

• Cyber Security Incident Response Officer is responsible for identifying, detecting, isolating, handling, and resolution of cyber security incidents in a structured way and resolving information security incidents as they occur, drawing out the lessons from incidents and preparing the Bank to cope more effectively with future incidents. In addition, the role holder is responsible for proactively monitoring networks, alerts, and logs for security, performance, and other issues.

•  The engineer is also responsible to work and collaborate with other software engineers on interfacing different channels with other third party systems (CBS, ERP, etc.).

Job Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualification

•  Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.

•  Professional ICT qualifications such CISSP, SANS is an added advantage

•  At least four (4) years of relevant experience.

Required Technical Competency 

•   Knowledge of server, clients, mobile operating systems and RDBMS with demonstrated understanding of security architecting of information systems in general.

•  Knowledge of tools used to secure and test security of information systems.

•  Demonstrated knowledge of threats and attack vectors as well as incident response and management.

•  Knowledge of security standards, IT security regulatory and compliance regulations and standards.

•  Knowledge of various programming and scripting languages 

•  Knowledge of and practical experience with various Internet protocols 

•  Understanding and knowledge of IT risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, penetration testing.

•  Understanding of IP networks traffic, firewalls, routing etc.

•  Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.

•  Good Knowledge of Microsoft applications
