Job Summary 

• Senior Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the performance, integrity and security of the bank's databases. In addition, the role holder is also responsible for compliance with data protection policy and providing technical support for Dash Bank's business and banking applications.

Job Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualification

•  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.

•  Professional ICT qualifications such as OCA.

Experience

•  At least Five (5) years’ experience of advanced database administration experience with a large scale SQL Servers in multi-node clustered environments including replication and security.

Required Technical Competency 

•  Demonstrable experience and understanding of database management also data segmentation and interpretation.   Knowledge and experience of relational databases. 

•  Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

•  Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.

•  Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

•  Familiarity with database management best practices

• Working knowledge of data modelling; database administration problems and requirements; and database analysis and design procedures, techniques, and implementation.

•  Thorough knowledge of industry standard database procedure, software development and data definition and data manipulation language and utilities.

•  Thorough knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Normalization techniques; ability to manage multiple databases.

•  Familiar with the new emerging technologies.

•  Familiar with Database and Middleware performance analysis techniques.
