Job Description

Background
Our company, Zoma Museum Private Limited Company, is an institution engaged in constructing green areas and places that can protect the natural climate through ancient architectural art and special creativity and design. The activities of the Zoma Museum include a gallery, library, children's center, restaurant, coffee shop, gift shop, vegetables, herbs, flowers and trees garden, elementary school, amphitheater, and animal farm.

We would like competent and qualified applicants to apply for the below listed vacant position.
• Job Title : Human Resource Officer
• Job Location : Addis Ababa
• Reports to : Museum Manager
• Salary : Negotiable

Some of the Responsibilities:

• Assists in the administration of all personnel policies and procedures.
• Provides advice to line managers on best practice in all aspects of employment, including company policies and legislation.
• Provides an advisory service to all employees and employee representatives on company employment policies and procedures.
• Maintains regular contact with managers to establish their recruitment needs and carry out all necessary procedures to meet those needs.
• Monitors and records absence levels in each department and provide statistical data to managers in relation to these.
• Monitors and applies personnel policies and procedures as directed by the HR Department Manager.
• Analyzes job requirements and prepares job descriptions and person specifications for recruitment, job evaluation and other purposes.
• Assists the functional managers and his/her supervisor in the preparation of long- and short-term human resource planning of the company.
• Assists his/her supervisor in the consolidation of succession and replacement plans of the company.
• Ensures the maintenance of personnel records in a secured manner.
• Assist his/her supervisor in the administration of employee fringe benefits.
• Assists functional managers in their effort for job analysis for writing job descriptions and job specifications.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate lists of jobs and vacancies within the organization to be able to identify staffing needs.
• Monitors, evaluates and participates in the company’s recruitment and selection process to ensure that the company recruits the best people for available jobs and complies with legislation and best practice relating to equal opportunities and discrimination.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements

• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Public Administration or other relevant degree from an accredited university and with at least 3/5 years’ experience in similar roles, preferably with a private company.
• A person who have experience in managing skilled and unskilled labor is advantageous
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills.
• Ability to mentor and supervise staff.
• Ability to operate and manage ERP Systems
