Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) would like to hire qualified applicants for Chapters Affairs Coordinator Position

Job Purpose 

The purpose of this job is to assist the planning, organizing and coordinating the activities of chapters affaires function; collect, consolidate and summarize chapter office requests and produce reports to the immediate supervisor; ensure all the required material, financial and human resources are deployed by the concerned units; participate in the development/ revision of chapters’ office work flows, guidelines and templates; coordinates and support chapter offices to actively engage in the recruitment new members and maintenance of members profiles and stay active in the Association engagements; and produce periodic reports. 

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the planning, organizing and coordinating the activities of chapters affairs function;

  • Collects, consolidates and summarizes chapter office requests and produce reports to the immediate supervisor.

  • Ensures all the required material, financial and human resources are deployed for the chapter offices by the concerned units.

  • Participates in the development/revision of chapters’ office work flows, guidelines and templates.

  • Coordinates and support chapter offices to actively engage in the recruitment new members and maintenance of members profiles and stay active in the Association engagements.

  • Follows up implementation of Chapters office objectives, track resource utilization, activity documentation.

  • Participate in chapters’ capacity development programs to enhance their operational capability.

  • Assists to maintain positive working relationships with the head office and stakeholders.

  • Assists chapters to maintain smooth relationship with governmental and non-government organizations, universities, professional associations, donors, foundations and other international and bilateral organizations as appropriate.

  • Ensures active participation of chapters in any conferences, meetings, research, project management works and professional development and training activities. 

  • Follows up and supervises whether chapters are operates according to standard guideline of the Association.

  • Assist the proper implementation of policies and guidelines of the general assembly and executive board at chapters’ level.

  • Visits Chapters and evaluate overall activity and their performance in view of strengthening their operational capability. 

  • Assists Chapters to select their members from appropriate institutions.

  • Produce periodic reports.

  •  Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Specification 

  • MSC/MPH/MBA/MA in Public Health/ Management/Public Admin./Economics and related with 2 years of relevant experience OR

  • BSC/BA in Public Health/Management/ Public Admin./ Economics and related with 4 years of relevant experience
