Job Description
The Project Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of the Project. She/he is responsible to engaged in community level participatory poverty analysis, design/planning, appraisal, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of multi-sectoral anti-poverty and integrated development programs with emphasis given to the objective. The job holder will work closely with local communities, partner organisations, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed successfully and contribute to the organisation's mission of fighting poverty and injustice.
Engages in developing of detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, in alignment with ActionAid's program strategies and donor requirements
Engage in local level participatory programme design/planning processes as per the project direction
Facilitate participatory programme implementation of community development programmes through and with community-based organizations, local government and other stakeholders.
Facilitate participatory monitoring & evaluation, and programme review, reflection and learning processes
Play active role in quarterly and annual report preparation
Participate in annual project plan preparation exercise
Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders
Collect and analyze project data, and prepare progress reports and evaluations
Document project activities, lessons learned, and best practices to inform future programming
Perform other related duties as required.
BA or MA degree in community development, social work, sociology, anthropology, gender, or other social science fields.
Minimum of 3 years' experience with MA or 5 years of experience with BA.
Proven experience on Participatory community development/ community empowerment and multi sectoral grassroots integrated development work,
Solid understanding and proven knowledge and skills in community development, gender, human rights, women's rights, livelihoods and climate justice, feminist economy, and good governance.
Proven experience of social justice and human rights advocacy.
Adherence to AAE’s Safety and Safeguarding policies
Have full working knowledge of English and local languages
