Job Description

PATH Ethiopia seeks to hire a Drug Supply Manager for the USAID-funded PMI S4ME project to support activities related to the Targeted Drug Administration (TDA) study for malaria in Metema district, Ethiopia.
The Drug Supply Manager will provide oversight in the management, storage, handling, dispensing, and disposal of drugs during the study, and will be responsible for ensuring adequate documentation throughout the study. S/he will also support the management and handling of other study materials.
The Drug Supply Manager will work with the regional study coordinator and resident supervisors, and data collectors and will report to the study coordinator.
Execute regular field visits to verify drug supply, address shortages, and ensure the proper use and storage of drugs and diagnostics.
Oversee drug management, including the documentation of reception and storage.
Ensure drug dispensing and inventory logs are maintained to assure adequate supply levels and accountability.
Manage the documentation, transportation, and packaging of study materials.
Support and promote the safe and ethical use of drugs.
Coordinate and oversee the proper disposal of expired drugs and the proper donation of excess drugs at the end of the study.
Ensure participant safety through monitoring adverse events.
Ensure timely reporting of SUSARs/SAEs and protocol deviations.
Lead the training and supervision of relevant personnel.
Work professionally and ethically with competence, accountability, and integrity.
Ensure the proper movement and record of drugs from Addis Ababa to the study sites.
Manage the receipt, storage, and deployment of drugs and other supplies prior to, during, and after the study period.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Location: Metema, Ethiopia
Duration: 6 months
Required Skills and Experience:
Degree in pharmacy from a Pharmacy & Poisons Board (PPB) accredited institution.
Must be based in the Metema District.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working in community-based projects.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic.
