Job Description
The gender coordinator is responsible for the functionality of GESA findings and implementation of gender action plan of pie. developing mainstreaming guidelines/strategies to all elements of CSP and monitor the effective application of the guideline are the main task of the position holder. s/he is in charge of staff capacity building on gender equality and mainstreaming at various levels. the position holder is also responsible for the gender issues and person with disabilities are included in all proposal developments and represent plan in the regional and global networks of gender equality and person with disability.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
Ensures that all staff signed safeguarding policies;
Implement Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
Graduate degree social studies discipline, preferably post-graduate (master’s or higher) Degree in a gender equality, human rights, development studies – specializing on gender and development or social development
At least 5+ Years of relevant experience out of which 3 years on a senior level experience or demonstrated equivalent combination.
Strong expertise on gender transformative programming and good understanding on intersectionality and inclusion.
Experience in providing technical support and oversight to Education programmes.
Experience in capacity development of project staff; strong facilitation and training skills.
Ability to plan work and meet deadlines when working under pressure on several projects.
Experience of working for an international organization and with local partners.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; the local language is an asset.
