Ashewa Technology is seeking a passionate and experienced Resources Mobilisation & Investor Relations Head to lead our fundraising efforts and cultivate strong relationships with investors, donors, and other key stakeholders.

We currently have over 90 full time qualified employees, over 1,500 shareholders, overseen by 7 Board members and owns 15 software with intellectual property rights.

About the Role:

You will play a pivotal role in securing the resources Ashewa Technology needs to achieve its ambitious growth plans. This includes a target of 200 million Birr (approximately $3 million USD) for the current budget year. As the Resources Mobilisation & Investor Relations Head, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive resource mobilisation strategy: This includes identifying potential funding sources (grants, angel investors, venture capitalists, debt financing, joint ventures, etc.), researching and tailoring proposals, and managing the application process.

  • Building and nurturing relationships with investors and key stakeholders: You will network with potential investors, donors, and partners, understand their investment criteria and interests, and present compelling investment opportunities for Ashewa Technology.

  • Managing investor relations: Maintain open and transparent communication with existing and potential investors, address their inquiries, and keep them updated on the company's progress.

  • Grant proposal writing: Develop compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate Ashewa's mission, impact, and funding needs.

  • Financial modelling and forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial models and projections to support funding requests.

  • Managing the investor relations budget: Effectively manage the budget allocated for investor relations activities, including travel, marketing materials, and professional fees.

  • Staying abreast of industry trends: Continuously monitor funding trends, new investment opportunities, and relevant regulations to adapt Ashewa's resource mobilisation strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in resource mobilization, investor relations.

  • Proven track record of securing funding from various sources (grants, investments, partnerships).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Passion for Ashewa's mission and a strong understanding of the Ethiopian business landscape.

  • Fluency in Amharic and English is a plus.
