Position Summary:

The Slaughterhouse Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the quality assurance and control programs at LUNA EXPORT SLAUGHTERHOUSE PLC. This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations and company standards, focusing on continuous improvement and excellence in product quality. The QA Manager will coordinate closely with livestock and meat inspection teams to maintain rigorous quality controls.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science, or a related field.

  • Advanced degree or certifications in Quality Management, Food Safety, or Meat Inspection (e.g., CQE, CFS, PCQI, Veterinary Certification) preferred.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in quality assurance within the meat processing or food industry.

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a slaughterhouse or similar environment.

  • Proficiency in livestock and meat inspection procedures.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, good hygienic practices, and food safety regulations.

  • Proficiency in quality management systems and statistical process control.

  • Experience with audit processes and regulatory compliance.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective leadership and team management in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills.
