GeezJobs - Our Recruitment Department is currently searching for exceptionally qualified professionals to join our client's travel company as an Event Organizer.

Job Summary:

The Event Organizer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events for clients, ensuring that each event meets or exceeds expectations. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to deliver memorable experiences for attendees.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives, preferences, and budget constraints.

  2. Research and recommend suitable venues, vendors, and service providers based on client requirements.

  3. Develop event concepts, themes, and timelines in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

  4. Coordinate all aspects of event logistics including venue selection, catering, entertainment, decor, and transportation.

  5. Negotiate contracts and secure agreements with vendors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

  6. Create and manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to clients.

  7. Communicate with clients regularly to provide progress updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns or changes.

  8. Coordinate event marketing and promotional activities to attract attendees and generate interest.

  9. Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of any issues.

  10. Manage event staff and volunteers, assigning roles and responsibilities as needed.

  11. Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback from clients and attendees, and identify areas for improvement.

  12. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event planning and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing or related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year and above of experience in event planning and coordination.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Creativity and attention to detail, with the ability to conceptualize and execute unique event experiences.

  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of local regulations, permits, and licensing requirements for events is a plus.
