We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in business advisory services and outstanding project management skills. Direct Supervisor: Programme Director and Managing Partner
Position: Full-Time
Salary: Negotiable!
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Define Project Objectives: Establish clear goals and objectives for each project in alignment with the overall program goals.
Scope Definition: Identify and document the project scope, deliverables, and critical success factors.
Resource Identification: Determine the required resources, including human, financial, and material resources, for successful project execution.
Team Formation: Identify and assemble the project team, including internal staff and external partners or contractors.
Activity Planning: Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Budget Planning: Create and manage the project budget, ensuring alignment with program financial constraints.
Project Execution:
Leadership: Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project goals and maintain high performance.
Task Management: Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion of project activities.
Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project needs are met.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including program participants, partners, and funders.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with project objectives.
Continuous Learning and Growth: Monitoring and analysing performance and synthesizing and sharing learnings to enhance the team’s and entrepreneur’s skills and knowledge. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies within business advisory and project management fields.
Educational Background: BSc/MSc in Project Management, International Development, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Over 5 years of proven experience as a program coordinator or in a similar role, with a strong track record of successful program management and business advisory services.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyse data, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Proposal Writing and Business Development: Extensive experience in proposal writing, business development, fundraising, and applying leadership principles.
Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and effective management of multiple projects simultaneously.
Team Collaboration: Strong team player who values collaboration, actively seeks and provides feedback, and contributes to continuous improvement and program success.
Proactive Approach: Self-motivated and solution-oriented, taking initiative and showing a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving program objectives.
Time Management: Excellent time management and multitasking skills, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
