Job Description

The HR Officer is responsible to establish and maintain personnel related records, including recruitment files and tests, general files and other information on sick leave, maintains confidential employee information and records. Maintains all files (personnel and non-personnel).   This includes updating the files, filing all incoming letters and correspondence;

Roles and Responsibilities 

  1. Maintains all personnel related issues in a confidential manner;

  2. Maintains the HR database;

  3. Ensures that job announcement is posted and logged; compiles necessary statistics for each recruitment;

  4. Checks, processes and prepares weekly medical report on all medical expense reimbursements;

  5. Checks, processes and prepares quarterly reports on all staff leave (annual, sick, special) and medical reimbursements;

  6. Prepares all correspondence related to employment applications, terminations, transfers, resignations, retirements etc. as per the company’s HR Policy/Ethiopia policy and management decision;

  7. Prepares checklists that shows the expiry date of various contract agreements both personnel and non-personnel and prepares agreements in consultation of the supervisor;

  8. Follows up all personnel annual leaves as per the given dates and reminds the concerned employees.

  9. Performs other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisors.

Reports to: Human Resource and Admin Manager 
Supervises: Executive Drivers, Receptionist and Office Maintenance Coordinator 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Academic requirement: MA/BA in Human Resource Management or related fields of study 

Work experience: 2/4yrs experience.

  • Strong decision-making skills

  • Strong customer orientation

  • Computer literate in especially business applications 

  • A very Good Language skill of English, Amharic and Afan Oromo
