Background
Florensis Ethiopia PLC is a multinational garden plant cuttings producing and exporting company that manages around 700 workers throughout the year and hundreds of additional seasonal workers in high production season. The company is situated at Oromia Region, Eastern Shoa Zone: Lume Wereda Koka Town.
The Company would like to invite the competent and qualified applicant for the following position.
Purpose of the Job:
Play an important role in coordinating tasks and jobs in the Production department, with other Production Coordinators, Quality department, Propagation/Elite department, and Agronomy department.
Typical Responsibilities - Key End Results of Position:
“What” is done and “why”, but not “how”; include indicators for success.
Responsible for specific crops and/or greenhouses (to be defined).
Coordinate harvesting, crop maintenance, bed preparation, planting and uprooting, and other production related activities according to overall crop planning.
Responsible for efficient way of working and takes care that mentioned activities takes place in time/according to the production planning.
Motivate group leaders and assistant group leaders to improve performance of the workers.
Introduce fair system of measurement performance of workers in order to improve performance of workers and planning of the work (Key Performance Indicators).
Record crop specific information, such as planting data in order to supply Logistic officer production with adequate information to keep PAT up to date.
Keep a critic eye on the crop quality in order to improve productivity of the crop and be ahead on problems.
Good communication with Agronomist and Quality controllers teams concerning (changes in) the daily work plan.
Work according to Green Trust regulations
Active role in weekly operational meeting.
Responsible for weekly PC management.
Responsible for giving updated amount ladies per group to HR every week.
Share responsibility with Quality coordinator regarding quality of cutting and create smooth communication with quality coordinator.
Performs other duties as may be required.

Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Experience Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:
BSC Degree in horticulture, Agronomy, Plant science or related field with 3 years’ relevant work experience.
At least Three years’ experience should be in horticultural sector.
Skills Specific to the Post
Language writing, reading, listening and speaking skills in all English, Amharic and Oromifa.
Analyzing information and Verbal Communication.
Good interpersonal skills and Proficient in computer skills.
Strong people management/ leadership skills.
