Job Description

Naflet Hotel is a top notch 4-star hotel located in Adama. Naflet Hotel has opened its door and has been serving its guests since October 2022. To attain its objective, the management of the hotel is looking for talented and passionate hotel professionals for the following vacant positions.  We are committed to training and developing our employees so that they can be able to utilize their abilities and skills in order to perform their assigned tasks at top level and they are able to gain needed knowledge and skills for themselves as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all food and beverage related affairs, food and beverage control and service functions.

  • Coordinate and establish F&B recipes and monitor the cost, portion, yield, and sales price on consistent basis in relation to the prevailing market trend.

  • Play major role in the preparation of food and beverage budget.

  • Prepare and forward food and beverage reports on timely basis to GM and MD.

  • Play role in the recruitment, selection, training, disciplining, and separation process of the employees for his/her department.

  • Ensure the system is maintained to account the food allowance, hotel expense, entertainment, and staff meal costs as hotel expense.

  • Ensure the availability of necessary resources for the smooth running of the department.

  • Maintain system for safe and secured storage of food and beverage records. 

  • Inspect the hotel kitchen(s), restaurant(s), bar(s), cold houses, food and beverage stores to ensure it complies with HACCP standards

  • Frequently follow-up the personal grooming and uniforms of employees under his / her supervision.

  • Term of Employment: Permanent after successful completion of probation period

Job Requirement

  • BA Degree or above in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Supervision, or related fields. 

  • More than 5 years’ experience of which at least three years’ experience as head of department (HOD) in similar position in Four- or five-star hotel.

  • Good human relation skill and ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds and has proven people management skill.

  • Good command of spoken and written English is required.

  • Knowledge of additional national and international languages is desirable.

  • Command of computer applications & working knowledge of PEDS software.

  • Thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry and business. 

  • Career Level: Managerial Level (Manager, Supervisor, Director)
