Job Description
Summary of the position
This position will work professionally towards the implementation of Strengthening existing businesses to grow and create job opportunities for youth, women and persons with disability in the Somali region Refugee and host community project intervention sites.
Prepare work plans and implement timely project activities under the close supervision of project manager and in collaboration with local stakeholders.
Identifies existing business groups/cooperatives and facilitate capacity building trainings and workshops.
Establish and identify women associations, PWD associations in collaboration with stakeholders and project team.
Prepare and develop overall planned activities necessary implementation modality and approaches, such as DIP, term of reference/TORs/ MOUs, by-laws, PR., etc.
Facilitates & organizes all training, workshop, and field visits planned in the project intervention sites.
Collect project progress data, updates and submit timely manner.
Support in carrying out baseline assessment together with MEAL unit and concerned partners and woreda pertinent offices.
Provide technical support and work closely with business groups, concerned woreda government and UNHCR and RRS.
Prepare and maintain project activity records, documents, and control plans for the monitoring of project implementation including preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual implementation plan together with project manager and M&E units.
Supervise and regularly monitor the progress, challenges of the project activities and business groups.
Work closely with regional, woreda, community, and refugee camp partners to improve employment opportunities and business growth of project beneficiaries.
Provide technical advice, training, and information to government partners to ensure project activities are carried out in a timely manner.
Ensure participation and inclusion of vulnerable groups specially PWD, youth and women
Prepare monthly, quarterly, interim/annual/ and final project activities reports and submit them to the supervisor and M&E units.
Build and maintain ZOA strong partnership at all levels in time of project implementation, coordination meetings, workshops, visits, training, etc. for the sake of smooth project activities implementation.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor and offices
A Degree in Agriculture, Crop production/livestock, Business management, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Food security and Nutrition, Social Sciences, Rural development and other strongly related fields
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience
Experience working with INGO will be an advantage.
Experience on livelihoods and job creation related intervention with the context of refugee, IDP and hosting community.
