The Electrical and Automation technician is responsible to execute electrical preventive maintenance to the agreed service levels and schedule. Performing and improving to an optimum level between maintenance cost and technical down time. He/She is also responsible to assist on corrective maintenance to reduce technical down time. Assist operators to improve their technical knowledge, assist operators during change over to minimize change over time.

Roles and Responsibilities 

1.   Plant and Process operations

1.1    Carry out maintenance activities in a safe way for self and the environment

1.2    Assist all breakdowns, minor stops and speed losses due to Electrical and Automation issues in Brewing and utility Machineries

1.3    Create a hygienic environment after maintenance execution and ensure 5S

1.4    Carry- out planned maintenance Electrical and Automation activities in brewing and utility 

1.5    Make sure that the Electrical and Automation activities status should be timely reported to his/her immediate supervisor

1.6    Carry- out maintenance activities from work orders in the field of Electrical and Automation 

1.7    Make sure that procedures are carried out; participate in one or more teams to improve technical downtime

1.8    Report on all changes of parameters according to procedure

1.9    Record all daily Electrical and Automation activities in Brewing and utility machines and related

1.10    Make sure that the Electrical and Automation technician should collaborate with team

2.   Environment

2.1    Maintain a good and healthy working environment in the department

2.2    Identify possibilities to resource water and energy consumption

2.3    Monitor consumption of Electrical waste like Batteries, Electrical equipment’s, video jet ink and make up

2.4    Monitor segregation and disposal of solid wastes

2.5    Ensure proper utilization of company provided resources

3.   Safety

3.1    Create a safe working environment during the shift and in one or more focus area’s by ensuring that all safety procedures are followed at all time and driving safety improvement

3.2    Ensure plant operations during the shift is carried out respecting safety rules and regulations

3.3    Ensure implementation of different safety standards and systems through active participation and take disciplinary measures where necessary (safety tags, near miss reporting, unsafe act reporting, Life Saving Rules implementation…)

3.4    Make sure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards

3.5    Enforce the use of PPE’s in the work place

3.6    Make sure “Safe Work Permit” is implemented whenever necessary

3.7    Proactively manage safety of contractors together with SHE Engineer whenever necessary

3.8    Promote implementation of Accident Registration and Analysis when necessary and support the SHE Engineer during the investigation of the root causes for accidents

4. Other responsibilities

4.1    Undertake deep cleaning activities of equipment and work area as required

4.2    Actively participate on personal developments on functional and behavioral Rules implementation…)

Job Requirements

Academic requirement: MSC/BSC in Electrical Engineering or related fields

Work experience: 2/4years of relevant experience
