Job Description

Chemonics International seeks experienced professionals for the USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chain - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. GHSC-PSM Ethiopia will serve as the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and furnish health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve the country’s management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global and local health initiatives. The Finance Coordinator is responsible for implementing the financial management priorities of the GHSC-PSM project in Ethiopia. Please see the criteria below for details:

Finance Coordinators handle all the matters in reference to the finance and investments of a company. They manage financial operations of companies such as the assets, liabilities, equity and cash flow aiming to maintain the financial health of the company and operative viability. They evaluate the strategic plans of the company in financial terms, maintain transparent financial operations for taxation and auditing bodies, and create the financial statements of the company at the end of the fiscal year.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or commerce. Master’s degree in related field preferred

  • Minimum eight years of experience

  • Excellent organizational skills demonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment and meet competing deadlines with attention to detail and quality of work

  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, and preparation of graphs, tables, charts with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook

  • Excellent ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and spoken English 

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully participate on teams that respond to and meet the challenges of working together in a fast-paced work setting with technical staff

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, clients and consultants

  • Must be willing to travel to the regions as required

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of USAID regulations strongly preferred
