Strategy & Execution:
▪ Develop and implement comprehensive business expansion strategies in Ethiopia, in alignment with the overall global business objectives
▪ Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth, assess competition, and anticipate market trends and challenges
▪ Elaborate annual business plan in line with global strategy, deploy across the local team, and track field performance and results
▪ Provide regular reports and and updates to the executive team, highlighting key achievements, business metrics, and market insights to inform decision-making
▪ Collaborate closely with Lead Agronomists in key regions and provide insights of the strategy activities’ execution and eventual challenges
Partnerships & Business development:
▪ Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, farmers, research institutions, and industry associations, to drive farmer recruitment and maintain a strong relationship
▪ Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and farmers to ensure high level of satisfaction and retention
▪ Drive business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities for growth, strategic alliances, and market penetration
▪ Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and other networking opportunities
People management & Operations:
▪ Build and lead a high-performing team, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives
▪ Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including sales, marketing, distribution, customer service, and logistics
▪ Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure effective cost management and resource allocation
▪ Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies and identify and mitigate potential risks to the business
▪ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance
Job Requirements
Academics & Track record:
▪ Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master’s degree in Business Administration & Management.
▪ Proven experience of at least 15 years in a similar leadership role, with a track record of success in driving business growth and profitability in agribusiness sector.
Expertise & knowledge:
▪ In-depth knowledge of the Ethiopian agriculture landscape, including market dynamics, regulations, and key stakeholders.
▪ Familiarity with Regenerative Agriculture, nature-based carbon sequestration, carbon credit voluntary market and certification.
▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

▪ Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve results.
▪ Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels.

Language: Fluency in English & local languages is required.
