Main Responsibilities
Ensure a safe working environment, translate the Brewery vision, mission, and strategy into maintenance department strategy, objectives, priorities, and targets, and set up, maintain, and optimize the maintenance systems to maximize the cost-effectiveness of the assets. In Addition, produce and report maintenance management data accurately and effectively communicate it to the relevant stakeholders, to facilitate optimal decision-making.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Collaborate regularly with relevant stakeholders (e.g. safety specialists, employees, contractors, and other departments) to optimize safety performance in the whole department/Brewery
Incorporate suppliers’ safety and quality instructions in the maintenance plan
Improve maintenance to achieve safety performance (e.g. by analyzing equipment and stocking safety parts
Actively drive safety-first behaviors and planning (risk assessment) in planned and breakdown maintenance activities
Develop and implement the maintenance strategy taking into consideration mainly asset condition and volume development
Implement basic maintenance organization through dedicated breakdown and preventive teams and specialization (e.g. at the machine level). Measure and Delegate appropriate Maintenance KPIs as targets (e.g. Mean Time to Repair [MTTR] for breakdown team).
Check Brewery maintenance strategies versus performance expected and create improvement plans
Manage maintenance processes by using process-related KPIs. Sets targets and develops action plans (e.g. planning process KPI such as resources utilization, WO executed on time)
Ensures effective use of MCRS/DCS structure by preparing in advance, managing meetings, and facilitating discussions
Control maintenance processes by taking measurements, executing spot checks, or meeting people
Continuously collaborates with all stakeholders (Internal and External) and seeks ways to improve maintenance service
Lead delivery of maintenance across processes and functions and act as a role model in cross-functional collaboration
Implement or drive maintenance plans and standards based on suppliers’ recommendations in CMMS/SAP
Audit the CMMS/SAP on data quality and process execution and train end users (e.g. work orders to be closed)
Link maintenance issues back to the maintenance plan and initiate improvement actions
Set objectives and KPI targets at the activity/machine level and controls performance
Check the quality of maintenance work based on specialist knowledge. Takes appropriate action (e.g. feedback, follow-up work order, etc.)
Controls consistency and quality of maintenance plan execution (e.g. frequency, duration, and scope as intended by maintenance standards)
Initiate and lead MRP settings
Replenish warehouse using MRP settings in a system based on historical set-up and experience
Keep all parts and purchases in the CMMS enabling accurate consumption data
Assist in purchasing by looking for alternative vendors and parts manufacturers
Follow up maintenance activities (work orders completed) and check regularly that all stock movements are properly recorded in the inventory
Improve the database by using standardized parts descriptions, suppliers’ parts and machine numbers, and vendor data
Keep the spare part warehouse clean and organized (e.g. dedicated areas for materials reception, control area, repairs). Each item has one fixed place which is well marked.
Monitor actual maintenance costs versus budget using appropriate tools and standards
Cooperate with the Service Providers (e.g. Krones) and internal customers, check the day-to-day execution of required activities, and react to any emerging issue
Manage all documentation (work orders, purchase requisition, purchase orders, permits) and keep an overview of financial issues (invoice payment)
Plan service delivery (yearly plan) and manage it with SP and internal customer
Create a yearly maintenance plan by matching maintenance requirements (standards) with the Brewery production schedule and resources available
Create activity and machine-based overhaul execution plans and reports on work completion
Transfer/Translate maintenance work requests (tags, notifications) into resource requirements
Use appropriate data sources (e.g. SAP) and enter/record data in a timely and accurate manner to support the reporting process
Communicate maintenance targets and performance across operations and build common understanding (e.g. with Packaging, Brewing, and Logistics)
Required Education/Experience and Key Skills
BSC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other related fields of study
A minimum of 4 (Four) years of similar work experience is required.
Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable.
