Naflet hotel is a top-notch world-class hotel located in Adama. Naflet Hotel has opened its door and has been serving its guests since October 2022. To attain its objective, the management of the hotel is looking for talented and passionate hotel professionals for the following vacant positions. We are committed to training and developing our employees so that they can be able to utilize their abilities and skills in order to perform their assigned tasks at top level and they are able to gain needed knowledge and skills for themselves as well.
Job summary:
The finance director shall oversee all the ongoing financial and accounting operations of the hotel and has general financial management responsibilities. He/she plays major role in the establishment of financial systems, financial planning and budgeting, financial control & auditing and manages the overall financial affairs of the hotel. The director shall also require to participate and assist in the preparation of strategic goals & objectives for the Naflet hotels and of each department.
Oversee all hotel financial operations, practices, control and audit functions.
Play major role in the hotel’s budget preparation process.
Ensure the correct implementation of accounting practices, government tax regulations, the hotel financial policies and procedures.
Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders on timely basis and as needed.
Ensure the correct reconciliation and deposit of credit card and debit card transactions.
Play significant role in the recruitment, selection, training, disciplining, compensation, and separation process of the employees for his / her department and the other departments as needed.
Works closely with various department heads in meeting their budgetary constraints.
Ensure the availability of financial resources for the smooth running of the hotel.
Responsible to ensuring the timely collection of account receivables and timely disbursements of account payables.
Ensure the agreement of guest accounts.
Maintains a system for the safe and secured deposit and withdrawal of cash to and from
Ensures the appropriate calculation of taxes and timely disbursement and reporting on consistent basis.
Assists external auditors including preparations of schedules, invoices, and explaining on supporting materials and procedures based on the hotel policy.
Verify all account payables and ensure expenditures and expenses are charged to appropriate accounts.

Required qualification
MA/BA Degree in Accounting and Finance
10/12 years relevant experience and above five years in Finance Manager position
Training certificate in IFRS
Human relations skill
Good human relation skill and ability to deal with people from diverse backgrounds and has proven people management skill.
Language proficiency
Good command of spoken and written English is required.
Knowledge of additional national and international languages is desirable.
Computer skills: Command of computer applications & working knowledge of PEDS or other senate systems.
Industry knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry and business.
