1. Main purpose of the position:

  • Ensure efficient delivery of IT services through optimal support and administration of the IT infrastructure and extensive end-user support

  • Troubleshoot and analyze emerging issues or outages regarding the IT network LAN and WAN, servers, workstations, and security systems

  • Coordinate with the Group ICT Team to ensure access to and optimal use of central business systems.

  • Ensure adherence to established IT policies, procedures, and guidelines

  • Ensure system security is in place through appliance monitoring, patching, and virus mitigation

  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations as and when necessary.

4. Key responsibilities:

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of additions and networking of supporting IT infrastructures

  • To carry out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions

  • Implements network security at the company level, showrooms, and service centers, as the case may be

  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company’s (WAN) system and local Area Network (LAN)

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of electronic infrastructures, computers, software, and hardware and give training to some employees like receptionists, secretaries, and accountants as the case may be on some applications

  • Responsible for day-to-day IT services management and giving support as required: daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, key processes, and backups

  • Responsible for providing advice and guidance on IT management and support uninterrupted services, develop plans for the maintenance and replacement of IT software and equipment

  • Responsible for the integrity and security of all company IT equipment, software, and data systems

  • Provides instructional training to concerned staff (users) on the proper use and security of IT equipment

  • Monitors IT resources usage to ensure compliance, reviews server system performance, ensures effective support service, develops network utilization and security procedures guidelines

  • Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support

  • Ensures that company IT assets are maintained and used responsibly

  • Initiates and implements improvements and updates in all areas of IT responsibilities

  • Serves as the main point of contact/contact person on all IT-related matters for the company

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and provides constructive suggestions to the management

  • To verify that peripherals( hardware, printer, Disk drives, ) are properly working

  • To quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of failure and monitor system performance: repair and recover from hardware & software failure

  • To install software and create file systems, backup and recovery policy

  • To monitor networking and communication systems

  • To update the system as soon as new versions of IT applications software come in: contribute to and maintain system standards

  • To set up security policies for users and implement policies for the use of computer systems and networks: installation & configuration procedure

  • To create new users, reset user passwords, lock/unlock user accounts, monitor server security and special services

  • Perform periodic performance reporting

  • Providing technical support and guidance for users

  • Providing interpretation of terminologies/concepts of IT as required

  • To investigate and diagnose network problems, collect IT usage status, make recommendations for improving the company’s IT systems management of Security Cameras and its Back up

  • Enhancing Digital literacy and usage of ICT via training and process improvements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management from time to time

KEY SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

1. Qualifications required:

  • Minimum academic qualification: A degree-level qualification, University degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Computer Engineering, Management Information System

  • Qualifications as an added advantage: A post-graduate degree would be an added advantage.

  • Professional registration: Relevant professional membership

2. Experience required:

  • General work experience (years): Minimum 4 years experience in ICT/IT- Administration

  • Industry: Any

3. Key competencies and skills:

  • Proficient with IT Administration and operation system

  • Quick problem-solving ability to fix technical problems or to do some maintenance work to the IT system

  • High leadership quality with a proven ability to monitor IT Administration systems with a sense of responsibility

  • Ability to uphold confidentiality and strong communication skills

  • Rich capability and experience in Installing IT Hardware and Software and networking; excellent knowledge of IT operation systems

  • Self-motivated to keep up with all the latest developments in IT packages

4. Language requirements:

  • English, Arhamic

5. Computer literacy:

  • ERP, Especially Navision,

  • MS Office – Powerpoint Advance level,

  • Ms. Excel Advanced Level
