Job Description
Organization for Social Services, Health and Development (OSSHD) is an indigenous Ethiopian resident charity organization legally registered to intervene in Social,. Health and Development Programs targeting the hard-to reach communities in Ethiopia .
Accordingly OSSHD would like to hire a competent and interested applicant for the position of Branch Manager for its Gondar Branch Office
Job Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and controlling project area staff for the effective and efficient utilization of human, financial, and physical resources of the branch in order to meet the desired goals.
Organizes and controls project area workforce to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to meet all performance targets and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required level and acceptable quality standards
Engages in fund raising activities at own operation site or closely works with head quarter fund raising team as found necessary
Liaisons with government structure in the area, donors, target communities and coordinates programs implemented in the areas,
Develops all necessary schedules and processes to ensure that the staff operates efficiently and effectively and achieve all project objectives,
Monitors the performance of staff and takes remedial action where necessary to ensure that performance targets area met,
Monitors and controls the budget of the branch office to ensure that all financial targets are met and that will necessary financial controls are in place to comply with organizational, donors and regulatory requirements
Develops and maintains relationships with key beneficiaries and other relevant bodies to ensure that the organization’s maximum performance potential is realized in the area,
Monitors the performance of staff on a day-to-day basis in line with set standards, takes corrective actions for any kinds of identified gaps.
Reports performance outcomes of his/her area to the top management of the Head Office regularly according to the operating policies & procedures of the organization,
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor as desired,

Salary Negotiable
Contract Period One year with possible extension based on performance & availability of budget

Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience :
BSc/BA/MSC/MD/MPH/PhD in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Social Works or related fields of study with respective minimum experience of 14/12/10 years out of which 4 years in supervisory positions
