ROLE PURPOSE: To be responsible  In HSE in his area of job, planning, managing, effecting control and Electrical maintenance and service carried out in the department and farms such as repair and maintenance in all Electro-thermal section, all Equipment, pumps, Tracks, tractors, steamers,  conveyor, Eligards ,Cold room and air – conditioning, Backup generators fork-lift , for any machining and modification duty , Irrigation and hydraulic system organizing and allocating labor to the different functions, to ensure output meets the company’s high standards  in quality and quantity and in the specified time frame at the lowest sustainable cost. 

•  Any HSE issue, control sustainable Implementation of LOTO and PTW, periodical updating  any of risk assessment ,Keeping high standard of HSE.

• Ensure Compliance with Company Environmental Health and safety policy when executing his duties and promote awareness among others and maintaining farm HSE, PPE policy application, Controlling and issuing permit to work.

• Conduct Toolbox meetings with section heads, colleagues and subordinates to discuss safety and methods of works. 

• Maintenance coordination and supervision of personnel and day-to-day jobs in his area of responsibility such as Irrigation, Electro thermal, equipment’s machining, and modification.  

• Supervise and delegate duties to the technicians and ensure tasks are completed within the budget and time frame with regard  to created schedules of works. 

• Conduct Preventive Maintenance for any electrical Equipment (pumps) in any other areas of the farm.   

• Diagnose difficult engineering problems and recommends repairs and Participate in the fabrication of specialized tools, innovation and equipment. 

• Develop and Implement IEC standards of routine Safety Maintenance and control procedures to increase the efficiency of maintenance process, reducing equipment down time and achieving annual cost savings. (Improved productivity by technology management.) 

• Prepare bill of quantities and order equipment’s, spare part material, tools to area of his responsibility. 

•  Establish and revise maintenance works, schedule and budget for such activities, ensuring proper utilization and control of all company resources.

• Responsible for the Planning, scheduling and execution of major shutdown jobs (outage works) and over hauling of equipment. 

• Oversee or inspect the receipt of new parts and equipment for compliance to specifications and company standard, Co-coordinating with Stores for stock inventory. 

• Confer with managers and other supervisors to establish, prioritize and coordinate efforts of section with other organizational units of the company and internal and external clients if required.

• Train by Demonstrating, Motivating and Guiding the employees under his area with a view to meet set targets and ensure conformance with accepted Syngenta   standards

• Analyze engineering problems and provide practical, cost-effective solutions and develop contingency plans for various systems failure 

• Keeping Phayto standard of the company to any areas of the farm and maintain hygiene.

• Prepare project reports, maintenance reports, keep records of the problems found and make technical reviews. 

• Proactively identify areas of problems or breakdowns and take steps to rectify the faults through application of trouble shooting tools.

Will be responsible and will work any job Assigned by his line manager.

Job Requirements

Critical Knowledge: 

• Degree in electrical engineering and 8 years’ experience in the profession.

• Sound knowledge and working experience on equipment

• strong experience with power distribution equipment up to 15kv 

• Knowledge of Electrical, Instrument, and Analyzer Equipment Regulatory Guidelines including but not limited to National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)

• Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) methodology preferred

• Knowledge in People and project management
