COMPANY BACKGROUND
Tadesse Desta Business Group (TDBG) is one of the seasoned and prominent private companies in Ethiopia. It incorporates three legal business entities namely; Tadesse Desta Import and Export, AZTAD Industrial and Trading PLC and Azeb Tadesse Coffee supplier under its umbrella. It engages in import/export, transport and manufacturing business.
Job Summary
The Deputy CEO – Corporate Services will work closely with the CEO to drive organizational vision and strategy and to create management practices that enable a high performing and effective team. Key responsibilities will include providing oversight of all TDBG operational functions, including finance and accounting, human capital management, and information systems and digital technology. The ideal candidate should demonstrate previous executive leadership experience in a similar capacity. Provide a financial management report that would show the performance management system and the business continuity of the company. He/she will be responsible for creating the performance management system at the company, business unit and individual level against the strategic direction and operational plan of the company. Manage all HR functions, culture alignment with the vision, mission and values of the organization and related issues including training when necessary, supervise a number of HR and Admin, finance and Accounts and general service staff are providing the required service in and efficient manager for each business lines and the company at large.
Support in aligning management and staff around the organization’s vision and strategic objectives
Contribute to the TDBG’s strategic and operational direction
Lead in the adoption and integration of an Enterprise Risk Management Framework
Support the CEO in ensuring the optimization of financial resources in pursuance of the TDBG’s strategic objectives
Provide recommendations on the TDBG’s investment and cash management strategies
Oversee and provide guidance on financial planning, records management, reporting, auditing and budgeting
Contribute to building a highly inclusive culture to foster employee engagement and productivity
Oversee the effective execution of human resources functions
Provide guidance on appropriate remuneration policies and compensation structures for TDBG employees
Oversee all information technology related activities within the TDBG
Ensure that strategic data from respective divisions are collected and processed, keeping the executive management team informed of updates and changes to respective information systems’ specifications that may be needed
Oversee the development and implementation of an effective communications strategy
Any other related tasks assigned
Reports to; CEO
Directs Reports include: -
Executive officer–Corporate Human Resources & G/Services, Executive officer–corporate Finance, Manager–ICT & Knowledge
management.
Salary: - Negotiable & Attractive
Required Educational background, Work Experience and competencies: -
MA/MBA or a master’s degree in accounting and finance with a minimum of 12 years’ experience performing a similar role, functioning in an executive leadership position at least for 6 years with strong team management skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop a high-performance culture in organizations
Proven track record in developing and implementing strategies to achieve organizational goals, with experience in allocating resources effectively
Demonstrated ability to inspire respect and trust with a penchant for achieving results
Experience working in the financial services sector would be an asset
Ability to motivate & empower others to reach company goals,
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills,
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the different stakeholders is also other skills required for the position.
