Job Description

This role will be fully responsible for the management and oversight the camp management and facilitate program operational setup in the respective refugee camps. The Camp coordinator will supervise all programs and ensure the programme implementation and to provide operation support for all the program team at the camp level and lasing with ARRA and UNHCR camp coordinators, Refugee Central Committee and bridge with the technical officers. Furthermore, the position holder is responsible to create enabling working environment to all technical staffs at the camp level and ensure all PIE staff complies with the camp management policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

  • Ensures that all staff signed safeguarding policies;

  • Implement Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.

Job Requirements

  • BA degree in Sociology, Management, humanitarian Studies, DRM, Community Development, Agriculture, Social Science

  • Minimum 5 years of camp Coordination and management

  • Knowledge of international standards notably SPHERE and the Red Cross/ NGO Code of Conduct

  • Good understanding of emerging international humanitarian issues and aid effectiveness

  • Good understanding of the external operating environment including government policies, strategies, guidelines and operating procedures in managing programmes composed of Protection, Education, YEE, WASH but also other under 5 nutrition program in the country
