Job Description
Welcome to BAN-Development Research Center for Excellence (BAN-DRCE). BAN-DRCE is a leading research and consultancy entity in Ethiopia, delivering a high level of accurate, reliable and data with integrity, based on a strong analysis in achieving the greater goal of development research.
Currently, our firm is looking for competent enumerators for End of Project Assessment on Prevention and Management of Health Complications of Female Genital Mutilation field work that will be conducted in Somali and Afar regions.
Job Description:
The assignment intends to
1) Assess the contribution of the project towards the elimination of FGM practice in the two project-targeted regions (Afar & Somali)
2) Assess the extent of institutional capacity building and knowledge transfer to health facilities staff and coordinators following the FGM Project implementation
3) Measure service availability and functionality for the prevention and management of health complications of FGM
4) Determine the sustainability of services post FGM project implementation,
5) Identify opportunities created; main gaps, challenges (and related solutions) to be addressed
6) Document key lessons learned after the FGM project.

passing the test after the training is required
participation in piloting is mandatory
Each data collector will visit the randomly selected target respondent.
Identify and obtain informed consent from the selected respondent.
Review each questionnaire on the tablet prior to leaving the survey respondents and make sure all questions are answered correctly.
The data collector should be willing to stay at the study site until the end of the study period.
Each data collector is required to ensure the quality and integrity of the data collected. Highest research and data collection Standard are mandatory.
Each data collector is required to maintain good team spirit with team members.
Each data collector should be willing to take on additional responsibilities.
Finalize and synchronize data daily.
Participate in daily debriefing sessions.
Report to supervisors when facing challenges prior to taking any personal measures.
Responsible and mature management of research materials at all times.
Report progress made to the core research team and survey coordinators frequently and assist in any other tasks related to the delivery of the project as assigned by the Client.

Qualifications
BSc in General Health, midwifery, Public Health, and Nursing.
Experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) and FGM/C related health surveys and undertakings of health facility survey data collection or studies conducted in health facility setting. (Should be able to provide proof of such experience if requested.)
Survey experience in collecting data using CAPI (preferably Kobo toolbox)
Survey experience in conducting evaluation studies.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
Language: Mandatory fluency in Speaking and reading skills of
Somali for the data collection assignment in Somali region
Qafar af for the field assignment in Afar
Moreover advanced level of understanding of English, and Amharic is mandatory.
