Purpose of the Job

The Support Officer supports the daily operations at a country office, within a country, by performing facility and office-related activities. SNV employees are provided with the right facilities and services, so they can focus on the execution of their core activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Office Facilities

  • Supports SNV employees on facility matters, making sure the office environment is an optimal workplace for the employees (e.g. meeting room set-up, maintenance, gardening, etc.).

Office Services

  • Supports SNV employees and visitors in office support, making sure they can reside in a clean and secure office environment and are provided with food and beverages (e.g. cleaning, security, catering, welcoming visitors, etc.).

Office Administration and Support

  • Supports SNV employees and visitors by receiving and answering office-related questions based on work instructions. Supports SNV employees by performing elementary administrative tasks based on requests and work instructions. (e.g. reception, stationery, telephone, mail, records management, travel management, fleet management).

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 12th or 10th grade complete and at least one year of experience with a similar role.

  • Be reliable, punctual, committed, and self-motivated.

Contract Type: National

Expected start date: As soon as possible

Duty Station: Arbaminch

Contract Duration: Up to December 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability.
