POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Compliance and Risk Officer will support the compliance and risk team for ensuring that the organization conducts its business processes in compliance with country laws & regulations, client requirement, professional standards, and company policy and procedure. The role performs service provider contract management and budget follow ups. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this roles:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the contract negotiation process.

  • Assist to conduct the vetting and due diligence process for all partners and ensure the documentation.

  • Compliance by various external partners of First Consult PLC is properly adhered to as per the contract.

  • Draft contracts, MoU’s and NDA’s as per the standard template;

  • Manage, update and review the contract for each partner;

  • Follow up on payments for the contract signed are properly processed promptly;

  • Process payments requests for contract milestones;

  • Track on monthly basis the actual expenses of all contracts

  • Ensure that all the hard and soft copy files of the contract are properly documented;

  • Assist in ensuring an accurate, timely efficient and transparent process for the entire project life cycle, from proposal to close.

  • Assist in the contract negotiation process and be the contact person for the company

  • Responsible to keep proper documentation for any document related to compliance and risk.

  • Perform any other duties as may be required by him/her immediate supervisor; 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in compliance

  • Strong understanding of local and international laws and regulations

  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Attention to detail
