Job Summary: MSI Ethiopia looking for a dedicated and experienced First Aid Trainer to specialize in providing first aid training to drivers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the unique first-aid challenges that drivers may face and be able to tailor training programs to address these specific needs effectively.

Location: Addis Ababa

Job Summary: MSI Ethiopia is in seek of a dedicated and experienced First Aid Trainer to specialize in providing first aid training to its drivers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the specific first-aid challenges that drivers may encounter and possess the ability to tailor training programs to address these unique needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized first aid training courses for MSI Ethiopia's drivers, focusing on scenarios and techniques relevant to their roles and on-road environments.

• Customize training materials and simulations to replicate common on-the-road emergencies and equip drivers with the skills to respond effectively.

• Ensure that training programs adhere to industry regulations and best practices related to first aid in driving situations.

• Evaluate driver performance during training sessions and provide feedback to enhance their proficiency in administering first aid.

• Collaborate with MSI Ethiopia's driver supervisors and safety Manager to integrate first aid training into driver training programs.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Public Nursing or Master of Public Health 

• Certified First Aid Instructor

• CPR and AED Certification

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Certified First Aid Instructor with a minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in delivering specialized first aid training to drivers or individuals in transportation-related roles.

• Proficient in teaching first aid techniques applicable to driving scenarios, such as road traffic accidents and medical emergencies on the road.

• Strong communication and instructional skills, with the ability to engage and educate drivers effectively.

• Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols specific to drivers and on-the-road situations.

• CPR and Basic Life Support Certification required; additional certifications in emergency response for drivers are a plus.

• Experience in developing tailored training programs and materials for specific target audiences, especially drivers.

• Ability to adapt training methodologies to suit the unique learning styles and needs of drivers.

Skills:

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage a diverse group of drivers.

• Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols, particularly those relevant to driving situations.

• Proven experience in providing hands-on training and creating realistic simulated scenarios for practical learning.

• Detail-oriented and organized in curriculum development and program implementation, specifically for driver-first aid training.

Working Conditions:

• Willingness to travel to various locations to conduct on-site training for driver groups.

• Ability to work in different weather conditions and accommodate varying schedules based on driver availability.

Number of Positions: (01)

Training location: Addis Ababa, Hawassa and Adama

Type of Employment: One month / According to the training schedules 

Salary:  Negotiable
