sequa gGmbH is a globally operating non-profit development organisation. The Project

Within the GIZ Program Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition", sequa implements the "SME Support Scheme targeting growth-orientated SMEs" project in Ethiopia. With this, sequa aims to facilitate business growth and job creation of Ethiopian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by increasing their competitiveness and productivity so that their products and services will satisfy the demand on local and international markets. A specific focus will be provided on women-owned SMEs, job creation, and employability training for women. 

Benefiting companies receive flexible and demand-oriented funding (management consulting, technical training, financial competence/business plan development, qualification, applied research activities, etc.). A particular focus will be on advisory services to improve access to finance. The grant scheme will contribute to SMEs' change management and business growth.

sequa has selected Best Clean PLC through the grant-support vetting process. Best Clean PLC is a manufacturing company specializing in cleaning materials. The company produces liquid soap, Ajax, bleach, hand wash, and acid for cleaning ceramics.

The company serves a diverse range of customers, including commercial, industrial, and residential clients. Its services are designed to meet the cleaning and hygiene needs of different sectors in the market. The assignment's main objective is to elevate competitiveness and enhance market reachability by designing customised marketing and sales strategy, developing digital marketing platforms and conducting capacity building training.

Your Tasks / Responsibilities

• Develop company-tailored marketing strategy and guidelines to enhance competitiveness and market reachability in the market,

• Advise company on the strategy to be followed to boost sales,

• Develop a marketing plan that outlines the objectives, strategies, tactics, and metrics for each marketing channel, such as social media, email, website, SEO, PPC, etc,

• Gather and analyse data on market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitors to inform marketing strategies,

• Segment the market and identify the most profitable customer segments to focus on,

• Brand Positioning: Define and communicate the unique value proposition of the company’s products or services,

• Assist company on creating marketing campaigns that resonate with the target audience, using a mix of channels such as digital, social media, email, and conventional media,

• Establish marketing and sales team with proper structure and defined job description.

Job Requirements

Your Qualification / Skills

• University Degree in Marketing/sales or any other related fields, 

• Strong knowledge in market development,

• Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members,

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Your Working Experience

• More than seven years of experience in sales and marketing, preferable fast moving consumer goods,

• Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies, including market research and competitor analysis,

• Experience working in soap and detergent sector is preferable.
