Under the direction of the Procurement Division Head: 

• Supervises the movement, and distribution of supplies and materials in the company. 

• Provides logistic support and oversees the overall logistic processes in support of the objectives of the company. 

• Oversees documents of import and export goods into and out of the country through air, land and sea. 

• Manages daily shipping and distribution operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans, oversights, manage and coordinate the logistics support operations to ensure the smooth accomplishment of the company’s objectives.

• Manages all import and export documents such as shipping notice, pick slips, bill of lading etc.

• Inspects labels, bar-codes and other features of purchased goods and supplies before transporting the items.

• Selects carriers and negotiates rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.

• Collaborates with the warehouse, purchasing and other divisions to optimize the logistics operation.

•  Surveys ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.

• Works with other departments and divisions to incorporate logistics with company procedures.

• Ensures compliance to legal regulations and company policies, and resolves issues regarding shipping disputes.

• Ensures that customers are being served professionally at all times.

• Prepares freight-related payments and documents and get them ready for the Accounts Division.

• Performs other business-related tasks under instruction from the division head.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• BA degree in logistics Management or Business Management and 4 years of relevant experience in logistics related work in business organizations.

Skills: 

• Strong in technical, operational skills, Experience in logistics activities, Logical reasoning, Strong numerical, analytical skills, Proficiency in computer skills, Good written and verbal communication and excellent negotiation skills.
