Job Description

Selam Bus Line Share Company (Selam Bus Line S.C.) is one of the largest long distance bus companies in Ethiopia. It was established in 1996 by the Tigray Development Association. In an effort to increase its capital and make all Ethiopians to have share in the company, it sold 6,000 shares throughout the country in 2006. In 2008, the company announced it would move from conventional long distance bus operator to luxury tourist bus special operator. Its head office is based in Addis Ababa and has branch office in Mekelle City. Selam Bus Line Share Company is a pioneer and a leading luxury special bus operator in the country with close to 30 years of operation. The company has been providing service to more than 17 Cities in Ethiopia and even to a city in neighboring country, Khartoum, Sudan. Currently, the company is home for more than 100 employees and operating in 6 routes and destination cities in Ethiopia. 

The company has a strong brand and accepted by all Ethiopians due to its professional service and customer handling. Currently, the company is putting much effort to uplift its company operation and different units. In cognizant to the realization of its desire to capacitate its units, the company wants to fill its vacant positions listed below.

Major Responsibilities 

  • Contributes in  the designing of various planning methodologies, guidelines and formats;

  • Participates in preparation of corporate key performance indicators (KPIs) used to measure performance and progress;

  • Prepares monthly and quarterly progress reports and draft recommendations to capitalize on strengths and opportunities, close up deviations and work on limitations;

  • Collect pertinent data from departments and branch office and analyze the factors that critically influence the  performance of the company;

  • Provide professional input to the company in the preparation of annual/ plan budget in line with strategic plan, follow-up the efforts by departments for timely deliver, and compile it for organizational level,

  • Assess the company’s market share and undertake the periodic operational/ financial performance monitoring and evaluation.

  • Handle other related duties as may be required.

Remunerations

  • Monthly Basic Salary ፡ 10,756.00 Birr

  • Monthly Transport allowance: 900 birrs

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Management, Operations Research, Development Planning, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • The incumbent must have at least 2 years working experience in similar positions 

  • Additional skills required: Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Power point, and graphics skills are preferred
