Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resource Officer to join our team. The ideal

candidate will manage HR functions within our educational institution, ensuring efficient and effective human resource management practices that support the overall mission and goals of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing: Manage the recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new staff members.

Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.

Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to staff and

administrators on setting goals, evaluating performance, and implementing professional development plans.

Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure that HR practices comply with relevant labor laws and school policies, and update policies as needed to reflect changes in legislation or organizational needs.

Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, including employee files, contracts, attendance, and leave management.

Training and Development: Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and career growth.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Educational Requirement: A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within a school-based environment, is highly desirable.

HR Expertise: Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations, with a proven ability to manage HR functions effectively.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address employee concerns and HR-related challenges with tact, professionalism, and effective solutions.
