Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for executing, processing, and ensuring Credit monitoring & follow-up on the credit portfolio of the Bank as laid down in the Credit Policy and Guidelines and Procedural Manuals and in compliance with the Banking Act, NBE Prudential Guidelines and Agreements.

Major Duties

  • Follow-up, review and process loan files and Documents against the LAF and confirm no pending conditions

  • Analyse debts from the creditors and follow-up on repayment procedures.

  • Oversee individual and overall loan portfolio of the bank based on the regulatory and internal limits

  • Prepare, review, and determine asset /loan classification and provision 

  • Facilitate loan follow up and monitoring activities, making sure loans are repaid back as per the contractual agreement.

  • Prepare and follow-up on internal and external reports 

  • Validate transactions and maintenance in the system.

  • Follow-up compliance to service level agreements with other departments.

  • Compile and distribute credit Follow-up data to aid decision making by the Management.

  • Classify and follow-up on individual status of loans and advances and prepare provision to determine the quality of loans.

  • Collect feedback and Follow-up on credit portfolio to enhance customer satisfaction

  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements 

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or related fields  

Experience:

At least 4 years relevant experience with 2 years as Officer level I/II or equivalent
