Job Description

The Canteen Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the canteen, including ordering supplies, preparing food, and serving customers.

Salary: Negotiable!

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily canteen operations, including food preparation, service, and clean-up.

  • Ensure smooth functioning of all canteen activities, from opening to closing.
    Manage inventory levels of food, and supplies.

  • Order and procure supplies from vendors and negotiate contracts as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.

  • Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as required.
    Prepare and manage the canteen budget, including tracking expenses and revenues.

  • Implement cost-control measures and maximize profitability.

  • Develop and update the canteen menu to offer a variety of healthy and appealing options.

  • Work with chefs and staff to create daily specials and seasonal offerings.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols.

  • Conduct regular safety drills and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and staff performance.

  • Prepare and present regular reports to management on canteen operations and performance.

Job Requirements

  • Female Applicants only

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.

  • 5- 10 years’ experience in a managerial role within the food service industry.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

  • Ability to manage budgets and financial reports.
