Job Description
The Canteen Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the canteen, including ordering supplies, preparing food, and serving customers.
Salary: Negotiable!
Oversee daily canteen operations, including food preparation, service, and clean-up.
Ensure smooth functioning of all canteen activities, from opening to closing.
Manage inventory levels of food, and supplies.
Order and procure supplies from vendors and negotiate contracts as needed.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as required.
Prepare and manage the canteen budget, including tracking expenses and revenues.
Implement cost-control measures and maximize profitability.
Develop and update the canteen menu to offer a variety of healthy and appealing options.
Work with chefs and staff to create daily specials and seasonal offerings.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols.
Conduct regular safety drills and maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and staff performance.
Prepare and present regular reports to management on canteen operations and performance.

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
5- 10 years’ experience in a managerial role within the food service industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to manage budgets and financial reports.
