The company driver’s responsibilities include dropping and picking up staff, guests, collecting various packages, and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to. The driver should also be able to perform routine checks on the company vehicle. The driver should ensure that all transportation duties are carried out in a timely manner. 

Vehicle management 

• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use. 

• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle at any time 

• Reduce unnecessary expenses (routine and unexpected repairs) and increase fuel efficiency; number of accidents.

• Ensure detailed record log sheet of every trip of every vehicle is recorded and reported regularly

• Timely report and manage accidents happened ፟

• Customer handling 

• Pickup and drop-off staff and clients from and to the place and at the time requested 

• Interacting with clients in professional conduct. 

• Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule

• Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage

 Driving safety, respect of rules and regulations 

• Respect all traffic laws and regulations at all times 

• Drive cautiously to ensure safety

• Ensure that the driving license is always valid and timely renewed

Communication and team work 

• Willingness to accept additional tasks and support other staff, working in teams and initiation of team work.

• Communicates clearly and politely in person and phone.

• Works well with fellow employees without friction 

• Always respond to calls/ Pick Up the Phone/Do Not Turn off the phone

Job Requirements

• High school diploma

• At least two years of experience

• Valid driver’s license.(derek 1/chenet ena keza belay menja fekad yalew becha)

• Clean driving record.

• Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.

• Working knowledge of local roads and routes.

• The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.

• Effective communication skills.

• Punctual and reliable.

• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage

• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g.at rush hour)
