Wasasa Microfinance S.C. has been engaging in providing financial services to active poor communities of both rural and urban area of the country since the year 2000.  Currently, Wasasa’s Management wants to recruit a qualified and competent person on the following vacant position. 

 Job Summary:

Plans, directs and manages the operations of the IT and Risk Management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Extensive knowledge and skill in applying internal auditing and ICT principles and practices, and management principles & preferred business practices

• Knowledge of information systems audit or investigation;

• Considerable knowledge of internal audit standards, IT Audit practices and code of Ethics

• Knowledge on international best practices in IS security and IS Auditing;

• Knowledge of contemporary risk management and control techniques and working knowledge of contemporary control frameworks

• Ability to promote the ICT audit activity within the institution

• Keeping up-to-date with professional changes in opinions, standards and regulations

• Experience of IT auditing techniques, disaster recovery planning and testing, IT risk analysis, business resumption and contingency planning

Salary:  As per the salary scale of the Institution

Duty station:  Head office; Sebeta, Alemgena

Job Requirements

Desired qualifications: 

• Should be a BSc in Computer science, Information science, Management Information System, Electrical and Computer Engineering,  or IT related fields of study with minimum of 4(Four)  years of relevant work experience out of which 2 years as IT and System auditor. 

Language Proficiency: 

• Good command of written and spoken English & Afan Oromo is required.
