The Building Maintenance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, including both residential and office areas. This role involves managing all aspects of building maintenance, including electrical systems, water and sewerage systems, and canteen equipment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of building maintenance to ensure the facilities remain in excellent condition. This includes routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.

•  Maintain and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power outlets, and other electrical infrastructure within the building.

• Ensure the proper functioning of water and sewerage systems. Address issues related to plumbing, leaks, and drainage to prevent any disruptions.

• Maintain and repair canteen equipment, ensuring that all appliances and machinery are operational and comply with health and safety regulations.

• Liaise with external contractors and service providers as needed for specialized maintenance tasks. Oversee their work to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Provide regular reports to management on the status of building upkeep.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

 10+3 in electricity / Plumber with 4 years of experience, or

 BA in Construction Management with 2 years of experience.

Required Competencies

• Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field. Experience with both residential and office environments is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members, contractors, and management.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing maintenance issues.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
