Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Digital Experience Designer to join our dynamic Communications Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for all of ICS’s owned digital assets and serves as the primary facilitator of the ICS digital experience. This includes acting as the school’s webmaster by developing, designing, and maintaining the ICS website, Parent Portal, and mobile app, as well as creating graphics, documents, and other multimedia content for marketing, promoting academics, supporting school initiatives, and recruiting prospective families and faculty.

Key Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will be involved in supporting institutional-level strategic goals through digital design and development, collaborating with school vendors, partners, and community stakeholders to identify needs, and using design software to complete and revise projects based on client feedback. The designer will also utilize their knowledge of video, photography, lighting, and audio to contribute to ICS social media and support the Communications Team on various projects. Additionally, you will lead the development and design of all owned digital media, ensuring alignment with ICS’s brand and reputation. As the school’s lead graphic designer, you will create visually compelling materials such as brochures, posters, digital signage, and social media content, while also assisting in pitching and publishing marketing campaigns to attract prospective families and faculty. You will independently work on a wide range of projects, including contributions to the school’s social media profiles and other photography and videography needs, while developing new approaches to create more expressive graphics for ICS.

Collaboration is key, as you will work independently and alongside various departments to execute multiple projects, meeting deadlines and budget constraints. Gathering input from stakeholders will be essential to ensure designs meet organizational standards, and you will implement feedback and make revisions as necessary. Additionally, a commitment to continuous learning is important as you stay updated on industry trends and tools, enhancing your skills in design software and digital media.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience: 

To qualify for this position, you should hold a BA in a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. You should have 7-10 years of experience in website and digital design, with a strong understanding of user experience and interface design. Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is required, along with knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with email marketing platforms (Finalsite Messages preferred). Professional experience in photography and videography is a plus.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

We are looking for someone with exceptional creativity and innovative design skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work. Excellent communication and presentation abilities are essential, as is the ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player. Strong time management and organizational skills will also be important.
