Job Description
Reporting to the Business Manager of the CEO, the position holder shall provide safe and professional driving service to the CEO of Safaricom Ethiopia. The job holder is also responsible to perform administrative activities of the office of the CEO.
He/She is expected to demonstrate a courteous attitude with seasoned driving and customer service skills. He/she must be able to adjust schedules to meet changing priorities of the CEO. He/She must adhere to safety protocols and regulations of the Company and demonstrate high level of proactiveness.
Driving, safety and vehicle handling responsibilities.
Profound experience in providing senior level driving.
Thorough knowledge on traffic conditions, expert intelligence on routes and patters of traffic situation.
Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and integrity of information.
Ability to closely work with the Business Manager to collaboratively plan the CEO’s schedules and movements proactively.
Superior ability to anticipate the important requirements and preferences of the CEO in offering safe travel.
Ability to accommodate flexible scheduling needs including weekends and holidays.
Handles all CEO office passengers with due care and respect.
Respect the Company’s Code of Conduct and values in all his/her engagements.
Respect the Company’s fleet policy and procedure manual.
Maintain records of logbook for all movements undertaken.
Follow the vehicle condition strictly and perform daily inspection and take precautionary action as required.
Check cleanness and maintenance condition of the vehicle and make the vehicle available for maintenance according to the schedule.
Handle minor vehicle emergencies, such as changing a flat tire or addressing engine issues, until professional service can be obtained.
Maintain all safety and security measures to the vehicle assigned to him/her.
Ensure all appliances like first aid kit, is readily available in the vehicle assigned to him/her.
Work closely with Safety, Security and Facility teams to ensure better service for CEO.
Ensure the vehicle assigned to him/her must not be driven by another person unless authorized.
Handle all tools and reserve Tyre assigned for the vehicle with dure care.
Ensure parking is allowed strictly in safe and secure areas at all times.
Report accidents as occurred immediately.
Liaison Activities
Perform liaison activates as assigned by the CEO and the Business Manager.
Deliver and/or collect correspondences from and to the CEO office in highly professional and courteous manner.
Support the CEO office in logistics and administrative activities.
Execute other similar tasks as assigned by the CEO or the Business Manager.
· 3rd level driving license or equivalent
· Complete a minimum of 10+2 or grade 12.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an executive driver with commendable driving record in a corporate company.
· Familiarity with transport and location technologies and devices – Google map, GPS etc.
· Excellent in time management and flexibility.
· Excellent vehicle care and vehicle inspection knowledge.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrate high level of integrity and honesty.
· A highly organized, conscientious, and detail-oriented individual.
· Computer literate with a proven hands-on working knowledge with MS office applications.
· Certificate on defensive driving and auto – mechanic.
· Willingness to travel to regional offices.
Desirable
· Ability to demonstrate sound and quick decision-making skill under stressful or emergency situations.
· Organized and efficient.
· Excellent time management skill.
