Major Responsibilities

• Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments.

• Makes choices regarding which programming languages, frameworks, and other tools to be used.

• Responsible for coaching developers on technical matters, helping juniors get unstuck, including reviewing code and design.

• set standards and follow best practice procedures to be applied to enhance the performance of the team.

• Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.

• Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard.

• Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals. 

Job Requirements

Education, experience, and skills required for 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Management information system.

• Solid understanding of computer science or software engineering principles,

• Hands-on experience in various software development projects, (demonstrable)

• Good programming skill,

• Experience with modern programming frameworks like (front-end, back-end, web and mobile development frameworks)

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL

• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

• Carry out full functional software testing procedures,

• Demonstrated expertise in continuous integration/delivery/deployment

• Experience with Git/GitHub version control

• Very good communication and interpersonal skills, presentation skills, research skills, computer skills, growth mindset and ability to motivate and mentor staff.

Relevant working experience

• Four (4) years of demonstrated hands-on experience on robust software development projects which four (2) years is in a managerial position.
