The Carter Center is a not-for-profit international NGO committed to waging peace, fighting disease and building hope worldwide. The Carter Center - Ethiopia, which assists the Government of Ethiopia in Disease Elimination and Eradication Programs is looking for a qualified professional to fill the following Admin Assistant post for its country office:
Vacancy Number: VA_008_FY25
Required Number: 1 (One)
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Facilitate accommodation for incoming guests with TCC-preferred hotels and send confirmation of all bookings (hotel name, telephone number, contact person, cost/night, etc) for the guest.
Handles hotel bookings and flight reservations of all TCCE staff.
Assists the Administration Manager in miscellaneous office activities, such as drafting letters, following decisions, and so on.
Handles all the routine and clerical work in the Administration Section.
Answering telephone calls and assuming other receptionist duties
Organize receptions and reserve conference halls, restaurants, lunch, and dinner tables as needed.
Update and follow up on corporate agreements with the Hotel
Ensure timely settlement of air tickets, hotels, and other related bills
Generate emails, Memos & reports whenever requested.
Manages procurement of stationery and office supplies as needed by the department.
Performs other activities as instructed by the supervisor.
Qualification: BA degree in Administrative Management, Business Administration, or relevant field of study.
Experience: Relevant experience of a minimum of three years in an office administrative role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Additional Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer service orientation.
Recommendation letter from the most recent employer.
