RaDO is a nongovernmental humanitarian organization established in 1997. Currently It is working on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) in Afar region through UNICEF funding. The organization advertises this vacancy announcement to recruit competent staff for this project in Afar.
Job Name: Explosive Ordnance Risk Education Community Agents

Job Summery
Providing Explosive Ordnance risk education in Explosive Ordnance impacted communities for the purpose of raising their awareness and promoting behavioral change towards Explosive Ordnance and to reduce the risk of injury from EO.
Conduct EORE education all Kebele of the wereda communities according to EORE SOP in close co-operation with the Facilitator.
Collect and compile UXO risk areas information during community visits, and share it with the area Office.
Collect and compile EO victim information during community visits, and share it with report it to the area Office. Ensure the information flow to the relevant RaDO program team.
Distribute different EORE awareness raising materials (leaflets, Brochures posters) to the wereda communities
Keep record of daily, weekly and monthly EORE activities.
Report the progress weekly and monthly to the project office in the operation area.
Maintain communication to the Facilitator daily according to the SOP.
Maintain close contact and coordination of activities with the RaDO project teams.
Report to RaDO Sub Office on any newly discovered EO accidents, incidents, SHAs, mines and UXOs through project office.
Ensure good communication and coordination with local communities.
Participate in RaDO EORE/VA technical working groups and coordination meetings, if required.
Follow up operational work plan.
Brief the visitors and supervisors in the field with regards to EORE work and community information gathered.
Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Experience and technical competencies:
2 years’ experience in Community Education and Mobilization preferably on EORE (Explosive Ordnance Risk Education)
A good knowledge of Afarigna language and communication
Knowledge to EO risk areas and resident of the wereda
Ability to go to remote Kebele for community mobilization
Education/qualifications:
Deploma/Degree in any social Science
